Not all produce is the same

Fruit and vegetables vary in their production and sensitivity to ethylene gas.

 

In general, fruits give off more ethylene than vegetables but vegetables are more sensitive to the effects of ethylene gas.

 

 

 

Which produces most?

The biggest producer of ethylene gas is the Apple.

 

The most sensitive products to ethylene gas are the kiwifruit and leafy green vegetables.
